Not everyone can make weekly lesson times work, especially with busy schedules or time-zone differences. That’s where my asynchronous guitar coaching comes in — a flexible, message-based way to get personalised guidance and accountability without needing to book a live slot.
You can send me videos, questions, or practice updates in your own time, and I’ll reply with clear, structured feedback to keep you moving forward. It’s ideal for players who want consistent support, expert direction, and someone to “check in” with so practice stays focused and productive.
I currently offer two packages — a Basic and a Premium coaching option — designed to suit different levels of contact and feedback. If you’re interested, get in touch and I’ll recommend the best fit for your goals.

Hi Jo,
I live in Canada and was just wondering how your Private lessons or coaching would work..
Hi Ty,
cheers for your message. I do quite a lot of overseas lessons at the moment via Zoom. People either book weekly, 2 weekly or have a check-in then get in contact again when they’re ready for another ‘progress report’. Because of the time zone differences it can make it more challenging to find a spare slot to fit people in, this is where the coaching comes in useful. I have 2 set ups for a monthly fee where we decide on video submissions, feedback and practise plans etc. If you’d like some more detailed information or would like to know how it would work for you personally I’d be happy to have a longer email conversation. My email address is jo@jobywaterguitartuition.com Give me a shout there and I’ll get back to you.
Thanks
Jo
