In this lesson I’m taking a look at Van Morrisons 1976 classic, Brown Eyed Girl.
An epic acoustic strummer, perfect for beginners with its use of open chords and a single upbeat strumming pattern throughout.
The added elements take us to the next level looking at the definitive lead guitar harmony intro and the middle lead break in the song. There is a bass guitar line here in the song that will suffice for you to play G chord and G C G D but if you’d like something melodic to get your teeth into I’ve arranged a section that intersperses the bass notes and the chords.
I have included chord boxes, rhythm charts and tab to help with learning and there is also a link to the video lesson on YT.
